In light of the long (and now seemingly FIXED, FINALLY) water pressure ordeal, I was thinking that it might be beneficial to disseminate some of the institutional and technical knowledge that we gained during the process.
Although I don't think most of us should actually handle the water and septic management or talk to SWSS (that's what the trustees are for), I feel like it can't hurt to at least give interested people a general sense of how the system works. My hope is that this will empower more of us to take on community-wide maintenance jobs with confidence.
I'm writing it all down, of course, in the Sawyer Hill trustee manual, but I thought I'd also offer an in-person rundown to any curious, maintenance-minded folks. The idea is to meet with me at the pump house and I'll show you what the various parts are and tell you what I've learned about how they work and interact. I'm obviously not an expert, but it can't hurt to share the knowledge.
So would people be at all interested in a quick (half-hour) info dump at the pumphouse some evening this week? And/or should I send this to the wider communities as well?
Adam
